Match Preview
Matchweek 5 pits two very different stories against each other: Al Diriyah, enjoying a fairytale first season in the Pro League, against Al Qadsiah, one of the division's form teams and still unbeaten. A home win would be Diriyah's biggest statement yet; for Qadsiah, three points would keep them breathing down the leaders' necks.
Under new coach Bruno Lage, Diriyah have been superb at home, built around loan sensation Darwin Núñez and the experience of Chancel Mbemba and Idrissa Gueye, while goalkeeper Nikola Vasilj has arguably been their standout performer. Qadsiah, meanwhile, lean on striker Mateo Retegui and midfield metronome Julian Weigl, and boast one of the league's stingiest defences, though their away form has lagged well behind their home dominance.
Something has to give between Diriyah's home form and Qadsiah's unbeaten run — expect goals at both ends before it's settled.
Our prediction: 2-1
