Ararat-Armenia vs Universitatea Craiova

Ararat-Armenia reached the Europa League league phase with a stoppage-time smash-and-grab against Universitatea Craiova, winning the return leg 1-0 for a 2-1 aggregate win after the first leg finished 1-1 in Romania. The Romanians dominated for long spells but were undone by a chaotic finish in Yerevan. The winner came from chaos deep in stoppage time. Carlos Mora's foul on Balanta earned Ararat-Armenia a 90+2' penalty; goalkeeper Laurențiu Popescu saved Sandro Lima's effort, but the kick was retaken for encroachment. Lima's second attempt was saved too, only for the rebound to be bundled in for the winner around the 90+7 mark. Bancu and Nsimba were both booked for Craiova, whose missed chances through Baiaram, Teles and Al Hamlawi proved costly. The result puts Ararat-Armenia into the Europa League league phase for the first time, while Universitatea Craiova drop into the Europa Conference League after controlling long spells but paying for a night of missed chances.
