Bohemians vs St Josephs

Bohemians made a confident start to their European campaign, beating St Josephs 2-0 in the first leg of their UEFA Conference League qualifying tie at Dalymount Park. A second-half penalty proved the turning point in what had been an otherwise tight, goalless opening 45 minutes. Douglas James-Taylor broke the deadlock from the spot in the 60th minute after St Josephs were punished for a foul in the area. The Gibraltar side had already been shown a yellow card through Geovanni Barba in the 54th minute, and Bohemians' own Diallo Sadou was booked in the 74th. Connor Parsons added a second deep into stoppage time to put a convincing stamp on the result, while Evan de Haro was cautioned for the visitors in the 85th. Bohemians now carry a commanding two-goal cushion into the second leg, leaving St Josephs facing a near-impossible task to stay alive in the tie.
