CF Estrela da Amadora vs Académico de Viseu

Estrela da Amadora suffered their first defeat of the season, undone by a rapid burst from Académico de Viseu inside the opening half-hour. Playing away from their usual Reboleira ground due to a stadium interdiction, Estrela never recovered from a blistering start by the visitors, who controlled proceedings despite Estrela dominating possession. André Clóvis was the difference-maker, heading home a corner in the 10th minute before doubling his tally in the 24th, both goals arriving with the help of Cihan Kahraman's service from the flank. Estrela's back line was caught square for the second, leaving Clóvis unmarked to finish. Coach Pepa shuffled his lineup after the break, but the changes brought no real threat, and there were no cards or penalties to speak of as Viseu comfortably saw out the win. The result extends Académico de Viseu's winning run to three straight games, lifting them to sixth place with 11 points in an encouraging return to the top flight. Estrela da Amadora, meanwhile, drop to eighth with 10 points and will look to bounce back quickly after their first loss of the campaign.
