Australia U20 produced a clinical attacking display to beat China U20 4-2 in the second match of the Australia-China Friendship Series at Yiwu Meihu Sports Center Stadium on Tuesday. After a tight first leg that China edged 1-0 on Saturday, the Young Socceroos came roaring back in style.
Trevor Morgan's side were ruthless in front of goal, putting four past a Chinese defence that had looked solid just three days earlier. The hosts pulled two goals back but it was never enough to stem the Australian tide in an entertaining six-goal affair.
The result caps an encouraging tour for the reigning AFC U20 Asian Cup champions, who will look to defend their title in Zhejiang Province next year. For head coach Dejan Djurdjevic and China U20, there is plenty to work on ahead of the AFC U20 Asian Cup qualifiers in August.
