China PR vs New Zealand

New Zealand made light work of China in Chongqing, taking control inside the opening minutes and never letting go. The visitors were 2-0 up by half-time and cruised through the second period without ever looking troubled, leaving the hosts without an answer all afternoon. Tyler Bindon got things moving in just the 5th minute, poking home from a scrambled corner. Ben Waine doubled the lead in the 30th minute, turning in a deflected pass from Elijah Just, who picked up a yellow card minutes later for a foul on Liu Yang. Owen Parker-Price completed the rout late on, pouncing on more defensive confusion from another corner. For China, it's a sobering warm-up as they head toward the AFC Asian Cup, with defensive lapses at set pieces a clear concern to fix before facing Iran in January. New Zealand, meanwhile, bounce back nicely from a draw with Palestine and will carry real momentum into their next friendly against Panama.
