Hellas Verona vs AS Roma

AS Roma sealed Champions League qualification with a controlled 0-2 win over already-relegated Hellas Verona at the Bentegodi on the final day of the Serie A season. Paulo Dybala was outstanding throughout, setting up both goals with a pair of measured assists. The match swung decisively after Verona's Nicolás Valentini was sent off in the 50th minute — a second yellow for fouling Dybala on the edge of the box. Roma immediately earned a VAR-awarded penalty, but Donyell Malen had his effort saved by Nicolás Montipò. The striker recovered in style, converting from close range just a minute later. Stephan El Shaarawy wrapped it up with a counterattack finish in the 93rd minute, again set up by Dybala. The result sends Roma back into European football's elite competition for the first time in seven years. For Hellas Verona, already doomed to the second division, it was a painful send-off at home.
