Hull City vs Manchester United

Hull City pulled off one of the shocks of the new Premier League season, beating Manchester Utd 2-0 at home on the opening weekend. The newly promoted side pressed relentlessly from kickoff, punishing sloppy marking at set pieces to stun their star-studded visitors. Semi Ajayi broke the deadlock in the 17th minute, pouncing on the rebound after Oli McBurnie's effort came back off the post. Nobel Mendy made it two just before the break, heading in from a free-kick after a United full-back switched off. There were no red cards or penalties, but United's set-piece defending was picked apart twice in the first half. Marcus Rashford came on at half-time and Manchester Utd dominated possession, but Bryan Mbeumo and Bruno Fernandes couldn't break down a well-organised Hull defence.
