Match Report
Galatasaray needed a stoppage-time winner from Gabriel Sara to survive a scare away at Başakşehir, escaping with a 2-3 victory after twice coming from behind.
Victor Osimhen opened the scoring in the 16th minute, assisted by Lucas Torreira, before an injury forced him off in the 33rd for Barış Alper Yılmaz. Eldor Shomurodov leveled from the penalty spot in the 66th minute, but Torreira restored the lead five minutes later. Davinson Sánchez's own goal made it 2-2 in the 76th, and things got worse for the hosts when Umut Bozok was sent off in the 79th for a foul on Rafael Leão. Sara had a goal ruled out by VAR before finally netting the winner deep into stoppage time.
The win stretches Galatasaray's run to three straight victories and pushes them to 10 points, while Başakşehir will be left to reflect on costly individual errors that undid an otherwise gritty performance against the league's form side.
