Netherlands U18 vs Norway U18

Netherlands U18 and Norway U18 cancelled each other out in Marbella, sharing the points in a tight, chance-light friendly that never quite sparked into life. Playing as part of a four-nations warm-up tournament that also features Ireland and the USA, both sides looked to use the occasion to test fringe players rather than force the issue, and neither goalkeeper was seriously troubled across the ninety minutes. There were no goals, no cards, and no major flashpoints to report — just a cagey, well-organised stalemate. Mohamed Abdalla, handed a leadership role in the Dutch midfield after his senior Ajax debut, was at the heart of the Netherlands' efforts to break Norway down, but their final ball let them down in the final third. For Netherlands U18, the clean sheet is a reasonable foundation as they continue their Marbella schedule, even if the lack of a cutting edge will be a talking point. Norway U18 will be content with a solid defensive showing against a fancied Dutch age group, taking a point they can build on before their remaining tournament fixtures.
