South Korea vs Venezuela
Match Report
South Korea and Venezuela cancelled each other out in a tense, goalless friendly at Ulsan Munsu Football Stadium. The standout moment came in the 65th minute when Venezuela thought they'd snatched the lead, only for VAR to chalk off the goal after a tight offside review — the closest either side came to breaking the deadlock.
The only card of the night went to Lee Kang-in, booked in the 40th minute for a foul. Venezuela made a pair of changes to freshen up their approach, swapping Alfonso for Carmona at right-back in the 50th minute before bringing on Jhonder Cádiz for Kelsy at the 70-minute mark to add some aerial threat up top. Beyond that, chances were scarce as both sides prioritized defensive discipline over risk-taking.
For South Korea, it was a frustrating evening of territory without teeth, with plenty of possession but little bite in the final third under interim boss Robert Moreno. Venezuela, by contrast, will view the result as a solid bounce-back after their recent loss to Japan, having stayed compact and limited their hosts to almost nothing of note.
