Stade Rennais vs Paris Saint-Germain

Rennes came within 15 minutes of a huge opening-weekend scalp before Ferran Torres dragged PSG level, as Stade Rennais and Paris Saint-Germain shared the points in a thrilling 2-2 at Roazhon Park.

Sebastian Szymański fired the hosts ahead in the 9th minute, and Estéban Lepaul doubled Rennes's lead in the 38th, sending the home side into halftime 2-0 up after Désiré Doué's early strike was ruled out for offside. Torres, brought on by Luis Enrique at the break, changed everything: he pounced on a Fabián Ruiz through-ball to score in the 71st minute, then headed in another Ruiz cross in the 82nd to complete his brace. Willian Pacho then cleared off the line in the 86th minute to deny Ludovic Blas a Rennes winner.

A point apiece leaves Rennes encouraged by their fast start but frustrated at surrendering a two-goal lead, while PSG open their title defense searching for sharper form, buoyed at least by Torres's instant impact off the bench.
