Tunisia U20 vs Algeria U20

Tunisia U20 edged Algeria U20 1-0 in the first of two planned friendlies at the Stade Bouali-Lahouar in Hammam Sousse on Friday. A late goal proved the difference in a tight North African meeting. Chamseddine Djerid was the match-winner, breaking the deadlock in the 80th minute to hand the hosts a narrow victory. The game was incident-free — no red cards or penalties recorded — as both sides stayed disciplined and professional throughout. The result is a timely confidence boost for Tunisia, who had already shown good form with a 2-0 win over Germany U20 in late May. For Algeria and coach Razik Nedder, the response must come quickly — a second friendly between the two sides is set for June 8 at the same ground. Both nations are building toward the UNAF tournament in Egypt this September, a qualifying competition for the CAN U20 2027 in Ghana.
