Ukraine U18 closed out their friendly tournament in Chakovec, Croatia with a 1-0 victory over Turkey U18, claiming the standout result of a competitive three-match round-robin to end the week on a high note. Ivan Bagriy was the difference-maker, netting the only goal of the game in the 28th minute to hand Ukraine the win. Turkey, guided by coach Veli Kavlak, could not find a way through despite the efforts of forward Tarık Hamamioğlu and midfielder Utku Kurtal, leaving Ukraine's goalkeeper Rostyslav Baglai largely untested in the second half. For coach Dmytro Mykhaylenko and Ukraine, the win was a satisfying finale to a tournament that also produced draws against Finland (0-0) and Norway (1-1).
