Wales U19 vs Northern Ireland U19

Wales U19 and Northern Ireland U19 shared a goalless draw at the Marbella Football Centre on Monday, closing out both squads' Spanish training camps without a single breakthrough. It was a cagey, defensively disciplined 90 minutes, with neither attack able to find a way through. No goals, cards, or major flashpoints were reported from the stalemate. For Wales U19 it rounded off a three-match mini-tournament that also included games against the USA and Norway, while Northern Ireland U19 were looking to respond after a 1-2 defeat to Belgium just three days earlier in the same camp. The result means little in the standings but plenty in preparation terms. Northern Ireland U19 now turn to November's UEFA U19 Euro 2027 qualifiers, facing Switzerland, North Macedonia and Malta in a mini-tournament hosted in North Macedonia. Wales U19 continue building toward their own qualifying group at home against Finland, Iceland and Spain, with extra motivation as hosts of next summer's U19 Euro finals in north Wales.
