Westerlo vs Zulte Waregem

Westerlo and Waregem shared the points in a thrilling 2-2 draw at Het Kuipje, decided by a VAR call that overturned an offside flag to hand the visitors a late equalizer. Shunsuke Saito opened the scoring in the 8th minute with a direct free kick, before Tobias Hedl equalized for Waregem in the 25th, assisted by Anosike Ementa. Westerlo retook the lead in the 48th when Norman Bassette converted a penalty for handball, but Hedl struck again in the 63rd, again set up by Ementa, after VAR canceled an offside call. Lasse Flö picked up a late yellow card as Westerlo chased a winner. The point was Westerlo's first of the season, lifting them off the bottom of the table despite 14 goals conceded in four games. Waregem stay unbeaten and share fourth place, but missed a chance to close in on the top two.
