Tigres UANL vs Necaxa

Tigres UANL and Necaxa shared the points in a 1-1 draw at Estadio Universitario, with goalkeeper Nahuel Guzmán stealing the show by saving Julián Carranza's penalty, then earning a yellow card for his wild goal-line celebration. Owen González put Necaxa ahead in the 12th minute, pouncing on a rebound after Matías Espíndola's effort came back off the crossbar. Necaxa then won a penalty when Rodrigo Aguirre handled in the box, but Guzmán denied Carranza from the spot. Aguirre made up for his mistake in the 40th minute, heading home a Juan Brunetta corner to level it. Espíndola went off injured after the hour, replaced by Juan Torres. Neither side found a way through after the break. The draw does little to lift either club: Necaxa at least stopped the bleeding after losing to Cruz Azul, while Tigres remain stuck in mid-table, still short of the Liguilla places heading into the Clásico Regio.
