Vyacheslav Grulev did the damage for the away side, striking in the 14th minute before adding a second from the penalty spot just after the break in the 52nd. Aleksey Kashtanov pulled one back for Torpedo in the 39th minute to level things before half-time, giving the home fans hope, but Grulev's second sealed it. Yellow cards were shown to Yuri Koledin, Nikita Medvedev and Artem Timofeev as both sides made heavy use of their substitutes down the stretch.
