Ufa and Veles Moscow shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw at the Neftyanik Stadium, in a match defined by a stunning turnaround when Veles were reduced to ten men just after leveling the score, only to still nearly snatch a winner from the penalty spot.
Georgy Gongadze put Ufa ahead in just the 6th minute. Veles Moscow hit back through Artur Koloskov in the 40th minute, but a minute later Oleg Smirnov saw red for a second booking, leaving the visitors to play the rest of the game a man short. Veles still had their moment when they won a penalty in the 77th minute, but Aleksandr Shubin's spot-kick was saved.
The point keeps Veles Moscow in touch with the top of the table, though playing over 45 minutes with ten men made the dropped points sting. Ufa will be happy to take a point off one of the league's form sides at home.
